About BNL Originals

BNL Originals is a fusion of minimalism, geometry, and meaning.

Founded by artist Ben Nicholas Lowndes, the brand brings together years of intricate penwork and a deep reverence for structure, stillness, and self-expression. Every design, from a hand-drawn mandala to a framed tee, originates from a place of quiet focus - a meditative process where line, symmetry, and form become both visual and emotional language.

What began as a personal ritual - drawing to clear the mind and reconnect with inner clarity - evolved into a full creative philosophy. At its core, BNL Originals is about slowing down and finding beauty in precision. It’s about noticing the details, embracing restraint, and wearing something that reflects more than just trend - something that reflects thought.

Art Meets Apparel

Each product at BNL Originals sits at the intersection of art and wearability. The apparel lines are not just clothing - they’re curated canvases. Whether it’s the bold contrast of the Sacred Skin series or the subtle embroidery of the Lineage collection, every piece is made to be worn with intention. We work exclusively with high-quality, ethically sourced fabrics and sustainable production processes. Our garments are crafted for those who value simplicity, authenticity, and depth - not just design for design’s sake.

A Practice in Mindfulness

BNL Originals is also home to The BNL Colouring Book, a standalone artistic experience created to invite reflection, focus, and calm through the act of colouring. This is more than a book - it’s a quiet rebellion against noise and overwhelm.  A way to return to the present, one line at a time. This same energy lives in every corner of the brand, a soft but assertive reminder that clarity is creative, and simplicity can still be striking.

Why We Exist

BNL Originals exists to honour stillness, showcase the power of repetition, and turn personal art into shared ritual. We hope our pieces become part of your own journey, whether worn, framed, or coloured in with care.
